Ignite is a community project for tracking your own fitness. This explains what we hold and how it's handled. We keep it short because we keep the data footprint small.
What we store
- Your account — your email and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form).
- Your workouts — the classes you log by hand, and, if you choose to connect Orangetheory, the class history you import (dates, zones, heart rate, rower/tread stats, coach and class names).
- Your preferences — small things like light/dark mode and miles vs kilometers, kept in cookies on your device.
Connecting Orangetheory
If you connect your Orangetheory account, your Orangetheory password is used once to sign you in and is never stored. To let you re-sync new classes without retyping it, we keep a revocable session token instead — stored encrypted, and never your password. The connection is read-only: it can only read your past classes, never book, cancel, rate, or change anything on your Orangetheory account. It's unofficial and can stop working if Orangetheory changes their systems.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We don't run advertising or third-party analytics/trackers on your activity.
- We don't share your workouts — Ignite shows your stats to you, not a leaderboard.
Your data is yours
Your workouts belong to you. If your account is deleted, the workouts and any saved Orangetheory session tied to it are deleted with it. You can disconnect Orangetheory at any time, which removes the saved session.
Cookies
We use a small number of functional cookies only: one to keep you signed in, and a couple for your display preferences. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Ignite is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Orangetheory® Fitness. Trademarks belong to their respective owners.
